Writers Retreat - October-November 2025
Join us for a one-day workshop with Australian author Suzanne Leal, followed by the Blue Mountains Writers Festival!
Where: We will stay at 14 Lovel St Katoomba. This is a lovely cottage with many rooms, well known in the community for hosting retreats.
When: Fri 31 October - Mon 3 November.
Friday - Writers workshop with Suzanne Leal.
Saturday-Sunday - Attend Blue Mountains Writers Festival with debriefs/reflections at dinner time.
Monday - Depart Blue Mountains in the morning.
Cost: $480 for three nights’ accommodation ($440 for paid Patreon members and a further discount for couples).

Writers Studio: August-November 2025
A space for writers to write and share their work. You will use the first hour to quietly work on whatever you are writing about. In the second hour you have the option to share your work for feedback.
A great way to get to know local emerging writers and grow in your skills!
Where: Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre.
When: Thursday mornings at 9:30-11:30 am in August-November.
Cost: $180 for four months or $15 per individual session.

Winter Read-in
An evening of words, warmth and shared stillness at our Winter Read-In. Come and unplug, unwind and simply be with a book in hand and good people around. Leave your phone at home or at the door and bring a book to read, or buy one from the store. Plus we will hear from spoken-word poet Amy Morris and singer/songwriter Frankie.
Where: Berkelouw Books, 19 Oxford St, Paddington.
When: Thursday 24 July at 6-8 pm.
Cost: $17 includes a drink and nibbles.

Writers Lounge (Online) - Friday 21 March at 7:30-9:00pm
Join us for our first Writers Lounge - an online space to connect with other writers. If you are a writer or poet, come and share your work in a relaxed space on a Friday night. If you are not a writer, you are welcome to come along and listen in!
Featuring special performances by spoken word poet Will Small and singer/songwriter Frankie Deb Pluym.
Bring your wine/tea/beverage of choice, cheese and crackers, and cushions, and settle in for a chilled night. Anyone in Australia can join in.
Cost: Free for paid Patreon members and $15 for others.
